"My work is a convergence of abstraction, portraiture, and figurative art—a visual visceral response to the world I inhabit. My environment and I exist in a constant confrontation with discrimination, oppression, and pain, living in a terrifying proximity to death. We are humans by name, yet we spend our lives yearning for the smallest fragment of happiness and starving for justice. My paintings are born from this collective grief, this localized anger, and this relentless longing for equity. Every stroke is a testament to our survival and a demand for the justice we are owed."
